Hello everyone! I am a mother of 2 beautiful children. Samantha a creative, dramatic 9 year old (neurologically typical) and Cole my medical adventure diagnosed with autism, hereditary motor and sensory neuropathy, partial complex seizure disorder, asthma, and sensory integration dysfunction.

An active advocate for rights for children with disabilities I enjoy helping parents fight through the struggles and find hope with their children. I also enjoy helping wonderful organizations such as the Special Families of Pierce County, Wyatt Holliday Foundation, Washington Autism Advocacy and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. I also advocate the use of Autism Service Dogs in the effective treatment of community socialization for children on the Spectrum. We have had our Service Dog 'on duty' for 3 years and she creates nothing short of a miracle daily!

A long time volunteer at MDA Summer Camp I met my husband in my 9th session as a counselor for children with neuromuscular disease and am happy to report we have enjoyed tremendously the last 12 years together and expect at least another 50 years of agreeing to disagree on everything!

If you or someone you know is struggling with a diagnosis please email me at bethschubert@comcast.net

Autism is treatable, recovery is happening!
