Conference DiscountsAs a Member of the Exceptional Families Network, you will receive a discounted entry price for our annual conference called "Brighter Tomorrows", held each year in early March in the Olympia-Lacey area. This is a 2-day event focusing on childhood disabilities and targeting key areas of interest for family members, such as special education law and advocacy, diagnosis-specific treatments and therapies. ConnectingFrom simple email conversation and telephone conferencing to instant online customer support to web video/audio conferencing, this web group offers it all! Our goal is to help our members connect however possible and allow limitless education - wherever you live.

If you are, or know of, a family who needs to be here and does not have a computer due to hardship, please contact us at (360) 507-0944 or info@wyattshouse.org. We may be able to get you one ready to use free of charge. There is also free dialup - we'll help you find it. There should be no barrier to you helping your child.

Meetings and EventsMembers are able to participate not only in local meetings but also in family bonding events such as BBQs, picnics, potlucks, swimming and more! While meetings are generally open to the public, fun events are for members only and their friends and family. These are always enjoyed by all!

Member Web PagesYou, too, can have your own little slice of online real estate! As a member of our community you have the ability to create your own web page along with Blogging capabilities! Our motto is "Transforming Isolation into Community"... and we mean it.

This also means we can offer limited membership to organizations helping our children and who don't have the ability or finances to create and maintain a web site can do it here and even forward a domain name to it. Advocates, therapists, consultants and others are welcome!

NetworkingThere is strength in numbers, and knowing you can call us if you want to connect with other families who are living with the same or similar circumstances is very empowering. Whatever the topic may be - same school district, diagnosis, divorce... we've been there and understand. Give us a jingle - it may save you months of searching!

ReferralsWe know what it is like to need information and not know where to find it. As a member of our network, we can connect you with tutors, care providers and child advocates who have been recommended to us. Reviews of Providers, Schools, and more!As a full member (family member of child) you are able to post listings and submit reviews of these therapists, health care providers, schools, supplements, curriculum and more! Limited members do not have access to this feature as they are meant to benefit families in a safe setting.

Swap MeetsIn our Discussion Boards area you will find a Swap Meet area where you can post gently used items, unused supplements, services barter, etc. for free or reasonable prices. Member families who are consultants, have businesses or represent companies may post their offerings and must include the name of the company being represented. You may include a link to your business web site as well so that our members can better inform themselves of your offerings. This feature is for family members only as we wish to support our members.

Wyatt's House DiscountWe are in the planning stages of opening a children's center called "Wyatt's House" in Sept. 2008 which will include a private school, after school program, intensive therapy camps and respite weekends. Your membership with this EFN web site will provide you with a tuition discount for the school and notification of events.
