I addressed the issue of biomedical approach as an example to recovering children with Autism.  Thankfully, a number of our dedicated families and children were also present and shared that they, too, are seeing results with their children without drugging them.  I have uploaded the audio from this presentation for your listening enjoyment… found above the pictures of Joshua. For many whom we serve there is an answer to their child’s health and for many the answer is as old as Hippocrates.  Simply changing a child’s nutrition to unprocessed organic fruit, vegetables and meats can make a world of difference while supplementing with a variety of nutrients in capsule form to cover fatty acids or enzymes.  Some require doses of very effective natural anti-virals.  Yet today’s doctors and increasingly school staff are pushing drugs like a street corner junkie, and it’s legal.  Some of our parents have been threatened by schools that their child would not be allowed to come to school during an outbreak if they didn't vaccinate...  Why would you want your child with all those sick children anyway?  My son’s school required a doctor’s note so that he would NOT receive milk with his hot lunch.  They would not accept my request as a parent, the milk lobby/FDA had a stronger say over my son. It is sad to sit back and observe that our right to effectively choose our type of health care is incrementally being taken from us.  As a trained massage therapist since 1993 with 500+ hours of instruction, I have watched how slowly this profession is being pulled under the auspice of a medical professional, aka doctor.  Back a few years we started being told we were not allowed to use the word "pain" because that would be practicing medicine without a license.  Massage? One of the topics discussed at this community health forum was the fact that last Friday (10/19/2007) a Seattle court determined that a colon hydrotherapist, Mr. Dirk Yow with 30 years of experience and no complaints, was practicing medicine by penetrating tissue.  Excuse my French, but am I then not practicing medicine when I brush my teeth, clean my ear with a Q-Tip or insert a tampon?  If the use of water is determined as medicating, I guess I'm practicing medicine when I ask my son to drink some water.  Does the judge not understand what an orofice is? <a href="http://www.igroops.com/igroops/efn/blog/VIEW+00000004+00000005#00000005">Read More »</a>[ <a href="http://www.igroops.com/igroops/efn/blog/VIEW+00000004+00000005#00000005">MP3 File Availble</a> ] alternative healthspecial needsautism Tue, 23 Oct 2007 21:55:58 EDT
