A local family we serve was a victim of a fire last night, and they lost pretty much everything they own. In addition, their medically fragile newborn son remains in the hospital and isn't stable enough to bring home yet. Now they are faced with the task of not only finding a home, but filling it with necessities to take care of themselves and their son.
Their current situation is very serious and they really need some help. Here is a link to the updated story that was shown on King 5 News tonight.
If you would like to provide a financial gift to this family, any donations made through the Wyatt Holliday Foundation are tax-deductible, and 100% of the money will go directly to them.

A new study by researchers has found that even light or moderate intensity physical activity, such as walking or cycling, can substantially reduced your risk of early death. The study combined the results from the largest studies around the world on the health impact of light and moderate intensity physical activity. Although more activity is better, the benefits of even a small amount of physical activity were very large in the least physically active people.Science Daily reports:“The good news from this study is that you don't have to be an exercise freak to benefit from physical activity. Just achieving the recommended levels of physical activity (equivalent to 30 minutes daily of moderate intensity activity on 5 days a week) reduces the risk of death by 19 percent ... while 7 hours per week of moderate activity (compared with no activity) reduces the risk of death by 24 percent”.
